Lucinda 🤩！！！ Lucinda did not miss the mark on her new novella！ She didn’t wait to jump right into the story with the unbearable weight of terror screaming from the main characters。 There wasn’t as much action in One of Our Own as in her preceeding novels， but fortunately in true Berry fashion， this book was just as fast-moving and kept my attention hooked throughout。 Despite the sensitive topics that were addressed such as suicidal thoughts/ideation， suicide， grief， and sexual assault， this was Lucinda 🤩！！！ Lucinda did not miss the mark on her new novella！ She didn’t wait to jump right into the story with the unbearable weight of terror screaming from the main characters。 There wasn’t as much action in One of Our Own as in her preceeding novels， but fortunately in true Berry fashion， this book was just as fast-moving and kept my attention hooked throughout。 Despite the sensitive topics that were addressed such as suicidal thoughts/ideation， suicide， grief， and sexual assault， this was an emotionally gripping story no parent wants to experience。 I loved how Lucinda brought everything together， with little bits of relevant information presented at the just the right precise times as the story unfolded。 This literary approach added a remarkable amount of tension when certain facts were revealed; and I couldn’t get enough。 I applaud Lucinda for her noteworthy psychological novella and the surprise （but not surprised that it was a surprise） ending。 The shocker revelations are her trademark。 All in all I was obsessed with this exceedingly fast paced， all consuming story that had me utterly engaged。 I did not want to stop listening！ As always， I love Lucinda’s writing style-her authenticity & deeply honest content that immediately sucks you in right from the start and doesn’t let up until the very last page。 Thank you to my favorite author， Lucinda Berry， for bringing us readers another 5 ⭐️ book！ （Audio） 。。。more

First of all， I just love A。J。 Cook’s voice， so I was so excited to know she was one of the narrators。 Regarding the story itself， it was great！ It kept me second guessing everything。 The ending， wow， I was suspicious but was hesitant to believe it was true。 Lucinda Berry’s writing is just the best！！

If you haven't read a Lucinda Berry book you need to！ Her books mess with your psyche so much， they make you question life and your choices， and always make you think What Would You Do？ This book was no exception。 What would you do， if you worked for a suicide prevention hotline and receive a call， about a girl who just wanted to end things， because a horrific thing happened to her and it got recorded and sent all through the high school？ What would you do when she tells you her high schools nam If you haven't read a Lucinda Berry book you need to！ Her books mess with your psyche so much， they make you question life and your choices， and always make you think What Would You Do？ This book was no exception。 What would you do， if you worked for a suicide prevention hotline and receive a call， about a girl who just wanted to end things， because a horrific thing happened to her and it got recorded and sent all through the high school？ What would you do when she tells you her high schools name， and your child also attends that school？ Not having any other information and not being allowed to step in， but would you？ Of course it wouldn't be a Lucinda Berry book without some amazing twists！ This is a short book at regular speed less than 4 hours to listen to this book， and even with how short it is， it wasn't missing anything， I felt like I listened to a full novel。 Of course the narrators did an amazing job as well helping bring this story to life and make you feel like this is real。 。。。more

This production was so good。 I may be biased because I really like AJ Cook but whatever 😭 although I knew where this was going， the story was still GOOD。 As a woman， as a parent， as a SA survivor， I felt all the feels listening to this。 My heart broke at the end but I enjoyed this so much。 This is only avail in audiobook and when you listen， you’ll understand why。 Tessa understood the assignment and she executed her role perfectly along side AJ Cook。 I need more audiobook productions like THIS 🔥

If you’re looking for something heart pounding with twists and turns， you’re going to be disappointed。 This one is slow and fairly predictable but that’s what I LIKE about it。 You know where it’s going and as a mother， it’s gut wrenching。 Lucinda Berry is fantastic at pulling at those maternal fears and heartstrings。 And as an audiobook， this was very well produced。

First off， I will listen to any book A。J。 Cook from Criminal Minds narrates。 She is fantastic！！！ Second， absolutely nothing in this story was a surprise。 Zero twists which I was not expecting for a Lucinda Berry considering everyone talks about her books being wild and dark。 The plot of the book covered a tough subject and was done well。 Short audiobook if you want to get through a book quickly （only 4 hours！）。
